Reports: Diego Simeone Agrees To Manage Chelsea Next Season


In another shocking development, if it happens, Atletico Madrid coach, Diego Simeone, has agreed a deal in principle with Chelsea to take over as manager in the summer. The 45-year-old Argentine has told his bosses in Madrid that he wants to go to London next season in a €12million-a year-deal. If it happens, the English Premier League promises to be explosive as Manchester City have agreed a deal with Pep Guardiola; Liverpool have Jurgen Klopp; Manchester United is also said to have engaged Jose Mourinho; Arsene Wenger will be at Arsenal; Tottenham should be able to keep hold of Mauricio Pochettino and Leicester City have Claudio Ranieri.

Simeone has been able to win the La Liga despite the presence of giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona in the 2013/14 season. He played the finals of the UEFA Champions League, won the UEFA Cup in 2012 and is presently in the race for the Spanish title as well as a place in the Champions League.
