West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to attack a former Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, after he missed a golden opportunity to claim all three points for his team against Norwich City on Saturday. Emenike, who was introduced in the second half managed to miss a glaring chance to score the winner in the 90th minute when the scores stood at 2-2. The fans could not hide their frustration as one of them tweeted asking Fernerbahce, from where the striker came on loan, to take their striker back. Another, apparently a fan of the Turkish club, said, “Emenike: Business as usual.” On his part @cYerrell, tweeted: “Emenike is literally retarded.”
Another fan, @George_Poynter expressed disbelief following the miss.
“Can’t believe Emenike’s miss right at the end of the match, he really should have scored.”
However, some players of the team have said the forward needs some more games to prove his worth to the team.
