The Pharaohs of Egypt will be without winger, Mostafa Fathi when they play the Super Eagles in Kaduna on 29 March. The Zamalek wing wizard sustained a lower abdominal muscle injury in the team’s Monday training. It was gathered that Fathi had started to feel the pain on the team bus prior to training and was excluded from the training. Despite reports that Fathi is set to undergo fitness tests on Tuesday to determine the extent of the injury, it is believed there’s zero chance for the player making the trip to Nigeria. The team is likely to call-up Al Ahly player, Momen Zakaria as his replacement. The Pharaohs are due to arrive Kaduna on Wednesday aboard a chartered flight. Egypt top Group G with six points from two games, while Nigeria are second on four points from the same number of games.
