World Bank has announced a donation of $12 million to Jigawa State in its effort to support girl-child education in the state for the period of four years.
World Bank representative Tunde Adepola announced the donation during the formal launch of the bank’s supported global partnership for education (GPE) on Thursday.
He said the effort was in view of a collaboration with Jigawa State global partnership for education to support and augment government’s effort and desire towards achieving improved system of education.
Adepola urged the state government to make good use of funds meant for educational purposes.
