Seriake Dickson, governor of Bayelsa, has admonished his political rival Timipre Sylva not to abuse judicial processes. Sylva, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, had disputed Dickson’s electoral victory, won as candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Daniel Iworiso-Markson, Dickson’s spokesman, said this in a statement. The statement also warned Sylva not to ‘over-heat’ the polity, but abide by the Thursday’s Appeal Court ruling that upheld Dickson’s victory.
Moreover, the governor has praised the judgment delivered by a five-man appeal court judges.
The judges’ panel, led by Olukayode Bada, favoured Dickson on the grounds of appeal raised by the litigant, Sylva – who disputed the vote returns from Southern Ijaw Local Government believed to helped the governor to victory.
