Three houses belonging to former Katsina Governor Ibrahim Shema has been seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The seizure followed current probe of Shema over his alleged involvement in a N74.6billion fraud.
The houses are located at 1, GRA Modoji Road, Barhim Estate; Madachi Road, and Makera Estate, Kirni Road.
A report by TheNation, quoting an EFCC source, said “Shema is still in our custody. We have a warrant to detain him for a while.”
A petition by Katsina State Government to the EFCC alleged Shema, his sons and cronies diverted N18.6billion.
Also, the former governor was accused of mismanaging over N56billion in seven years and another N30billion security votes meant for local governments in the state.
