The English Football Association may renew their interest in Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, after Sam Allardyce left his role as boss of the Three Lions on Tuesday. The FA had spoken to the Frenchman before engaging Allardyce at all. Wenger was reportedly the board’s first choice but had his contract with the Gunners had been a stumbling block to anything materialising. But with his contract expiring at the end of the ongoing season, England could finally get their man.
Allardyce was forced to resign after videos of him negotiating a shady £400,000 deal with disguised reporters emerged. The former Bolton boss also said the FA was ‘stupid’ and had wasted the over £800 million it spent in renovating the Wembley Stadium.
