American golfer Arnold Palmer has died at 87. The golfer, regarded as one of the finest in the game, died at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was reported to have been undergoing heart tests.
The United States Golf Association also confirmed his death in a tweet calling him “golf’s greatest ambassador”. He won more than 90 tournaments in the world including seven majors. A BBC correspondent says Palmer was the most important golfer ofto ever play the sport.
