Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has expressed joy at the news of the arrest of the five-man gang that raided his Jos house last Monday. The robbers had disguised as courier men to gain entry into the house. They robbed the footballer’s father of money and other valuables before making away with his Toyota Highlander SUV.
“The five armed robbers that robbed my family home In jos have been apprehended at Epe, Lagos. I really thank God almighty,” Onazi announced via his twitter account.
“Officially, I thank the DIG Abuja Mr Joshak Habila, CP Plateau state, AIG and CP Lagos state, and most importantly Mr Victor Ugoh.
“For the concern and support I got from everyone I am truly grateful….thank you so very much and God bless you all.”
Reports earlier in the week said the robbery had been planned by a family friend of the Onazis. He was among the arrested suspects.
