A slew of the All Progressives Congress, APC members have been arrested by the police, after their supporters clashed in Asaba.
According to Daily post, the party is engulfed in a leadership crisis between a faction loyal to Olorungun O’ Tega Emerhor and another, led by Senator Spanner Okpozo, a Second Republic senator.
Armed thugs were said to have invaded the state secretariat and disrupted the meeting of the state disciplinary committee.
The fracas reportedly led to a gunfight between thugs loyal to the two factions.
Celestina Kalu, spokesman for Delta Police Command, said the incident is being investigated.
