The Football Association has named Gareth Southgate as England’s interim boss following Sam Allardyce’s shameful exit on Tuesday. The England Under-21s coach is tasked to prepare the team for the next four matches against Malta, Slovenia, Scotland and Spain before a permanent boss is appointed.
Allardyce left his post as the Three Lions manager after clips of him offering advice on how to bypass the FA’s transfer rules leaked. He spent jut 67 days in charge of the team. His only match in charge was England’s 1-0 victory over Slovakia.
