Celtic has been fined 10,000 euros by UEFA after their fans were seen waving Palestinian flags during the Scottish side’s Champions League qualifier match against Israeli side Hapoel Beer-Sheva at Celtic Park. The fans had taken a dig at UEFA after the fine by raising over £172,000 for Palestinian charities.
The club is not new to sanctions by the governing body as fans have always incured the wrath of UEFA. The side has been fined nine times in recent times over fan troubles.
