Olusola Oke, one of the governorship aspirants who contested the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has allegedly dumped the party.
Oke is said to have declared for rarely known Alliance for Democracy, AD, at a meeting in his house on Saturday, according to Saharareporters.
The former APC leader reportedly said his defection was the result of the consultation with his supporters.
“Having giving me the support to go ahead in this new journey, I hereby declared officially that I have joined the gubernatorial race in pursuant of my ambition to be the governor in the forthcoming governorship election of our dear Ondo state”, he was quoted to have said.
Oke had defected to the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party, on which platform he also sought to be governor in 2012. The AD effectively makes the third party the fair-hued politician will be joining.
