President Muhammadu Buhari will begin an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany today October 13, 2016.
Buhari will meet with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and talk on issues of shared interests between Nigeria and Germany.
He will be accompanied by Governors Kashim Shettima of Borno State and Rochas Okorocha of Imo and representatives of the National Assembly. They are all scheduled to meet with President of Germany Joachim Gauck.
The visit is to further discuss about security, the humanitarian situation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and rehabilitation of the North-East, as well as trade and economic relations between both countries. It is also to attract more foreign investment and create economic opportunities in the country.
President Buhari will also participate in a Business Forum in Berlin with leading German companies already active in Nigeria and other prospective investors.
