Two winners have emerged from the male and female categories of the Aquafina Elite Model competition that held in Lagos during the weekend.
The winners, Davidson Obennebo and Omoh Momoh outshone 18 other contestants to win the prize of N1m each and will also represent Nigeria at the Elite Model Look international contest taking place in Portugal later in the year.
While the event kicked off with the “Meet the contestants” segment, which was their first appearance, the contestants had opportunity to showcase all they had been taught in the Booth Camp by modelling Kamsi Tcharles’ casual wear made up of a combination of Ankara and batik.
After the swimsuit, evening wear, corporate wear and designer wear segments, the contestants were pruned down to five in each category.
In the male category, David was slightly ahead of his fellow contestants going by the gait and confidence he exuded. But in the female category, all the girls were stunners.
However, only one person in each category would be the winner and finally, the Head of Marketing, Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, Norden Thurston, announced Davidson and Omoh winners in the male and female categories respectively based on the scoring of the judges made up of Richard Mofe Damijo, Bola Balogun, Funke Babs Kuforiji and Norden Thurston.
The winners became instant millionaires as each of them was presented with a cheque of N1m from Aquafina premium drinking water, makers of Pepsi.
Davidson Obennebo, a 400 level Economics student of Bells University, Ota, Ogun State said he was excited winning the Aquafina Elite model contest.
Miss Omoh Momoh one of the youngest on the Aquafina Elite Model Look runway said she hopes to make a great career out of modelling as that has always been her passion.
