By Adebayo Williams

Former Super Eagles striker Sone Aluko has ended an eight-game goal drought. The 27-year-old netted in Fulham’s 4-2 win over Barnsley in the Championship on Saturday. The former Hull City forward scored in the 42nd minute to level the scoring for his side. He had last scored in the 2-1 win over Preston North End on 13 August.

He took to Instagram to express his joy at getting his goalscoring groove back on.

“What a contrast. The joy of scoring and the win today compared to the final whistle two weeks ago,” he posted.

Aluko joined Fulham in July on a free transfer signing a two-year-deal with an option of a further year.
