A 60 year old man has reportedly committed suicide for being unable to care for his family.
The victim, Okporo Arigo, who hails from Uwhenu Community in Ughelli North, Local Government Area of Delta State, was said to have hung himself on a tree and left a note, citing his inability to take care of his children and his sick wife.
Arigo’s lifeless body, whose brother is a serving councilor at the Ughelli North Legislative arm, was discovered in the bush with the suicide note next to him.
A source from the community executive, said, “he (Arigo) claimed to have embarked on the act to put a stop on his inability to take care of his immediate family after his younger brother, who is a serving councilor, abandoned him to his fate.”
