Manchester United’s Poor League Form Continues

By Adebayo Williams

Manchester United continued their poor run in the Premier League with a 0-0 draw against Burnley at Old Trafford. Jose ourinho's men looked as though they would snach the win but a series of saves from opposition goalkeeper Tom Heaton denied them. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Juan Mata had seen their well-struck shots saved by the former United man.

The Red Devils' attempt to squeeze out a victory was scuppered by Ander Herrera's sending off in the 68th minute. Mourinho's vociferous complaints to the match officials saw him sent off, the Portuguese watching the second half among the supporters behind the United bench. Despite being forced to use notes to communicate with his staff, the hosts continued to dominate possession and created all of the chances, Heaton producing yet more heroics to keep out Mata and Lingard with a smart double save.

The result leaves United winless in their last four Premier League games ahead of a trip to Swansea City, while Burnley are unbeaten in two, with the visit of Crystal Palace to Turf Moor their next assignment.
