Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan has extended his contract with the Serie A side until 2020. The player, who had been targeted by Chelsea for the most part of the summer transfer window, has been rewarded for his loyalty with new improved terms.
“During this financial period, the contract of Nainggolan, which was due to expire on June 30, 2018, has been extended,” read an entry in Roma’s annual financial results statement.
“The new agreement has a duration of five years, with an expiry of June 30, 2020.”
Nainggolan joined Roma from Cagliari in 2014 and has become an integral part of their midfield, making over 100 appearances for the club.
