Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman has confirmed his readiness of becoming the next president of the Performing Musician Employer’s Association of Nigeria.
The singer revealed this in a post on his Instagram page that he has decided to take up the position.
He posted the picture and wrote, “the next PMAN election is this October 2016 and I Ruggedman, have decided to run for PMAN president. I made this decision because I am glad to be part of the new PMAN. A PMAN that is not about old or new. A PMAN that is not a one-man business. A PMAN that is for every entertainer. A PMAN that is looking out for the best interest of the Nigerian musician. A PMAN that is putting a structure in place, a structure that will enable Nigerian artists get paid their due monies. A structure that will bring about barcoding of albums and encoding of songs. Finally musicians will get paid for downloads and be able to keep track of album sales.
This is a new PMAN and I am all for it”, he wrote.
