Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr has said that coach Salisu Yusuf, who has been without a contract, will get a contract from the Nigeria Football Federation soon. The German tactician, who spoke to completesportsnigeria.com, said Yusuf will be presented with a contract on Thursday or Friday.
“On the contract of the Nigerian coach, I want to tell you that the federation president (Amaju Pinnick) and I went to some places on Tuesdayand what I get is positive.
“I have been assured that in the next few days Salisu Yusuf will sign his contract as chief coach of the Eagles and he would be paid his wages like us. The federation and the minister now have a strong solidarity and this is good for the team to succeed. Yusuf’s contract will be done today or tomorrow,” he said.
Rohr also said the Super Eagles impressive outing against Zambia over the weekend was down to a new bond amongst the players. He said the team had been working together strongly. He also praised the new found friendship between the Minster of Sports, Solomon Dalung and NFF president Amaju Pinnick. He said the friendship was necessary to achieve the aim of building a formidable team for the country.
