South Korean technology giant, Samsung, has made a global recall of its faulty Galaxy Note 7 due to general complaints over its combustible batteries. It also asked that the sale of the phone stops. The company warned owners of the affected phone model to turn off their devices, and assured investigations were on to know why the batteries are inflammable.
In its statement Monday, Samsung advised assured buyers will get a refund or exchange the product for another device.
“Because consumers’ safety remains our top priority, Samsung will ask all carrier and retail partners globally to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note 7, the statement said.
In September, Samsung recalled 2.5 million Note 7 phones following battery complaints.
