Tinubu Has To Follow Constitutional Means To Remove Me – Odigie-Oyegun

John Odigie-Oyegun, national chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, says he can be removed only through processes spelt out in the party’s constitution. Odigie-Oyegun was responding to journalists asking his opinion about APC national leader Bola Tinubu’s call for his resignation. The two ha d fallen out over the outcomes of the Ondo controversial governorship primaries.
“The methods of getting rid of a national chairman, if that is what I will call it, are spelt out in the constitution. They don’t take place on the pages of newspapers,” Oyegun said.
He however denied there is a rift between him and Tinubu.
“There is no rift with Asiwaju. We have difference of opinions, difference of perception and I think that is normal. Yes, I agree that the nature of the (Tinubu’s) statement was a bit harsh,” Odiegie-Oyegun added.
The chairman spoke to state house correspondents after his visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.
