Two men have landed in trouble for stealing two cell phones -Infinix Note, and Nokia brands valued at N28,000 and Two thousand naira respectively. The phones were allegedly stolen from one Godwin Etim on 15 October, 2016.
The suspects, Abiodun Adesola, 21, and Bayo Adeniyi, 20, were later arrested by the policemen from MAN Centre Police Station, Ogba, in Lagos.
Adesola and Adeniyi were subsequently arraigned before an Agege Chief Magistrate Court on a two-count charge.
According to the prosecutor, Kehinde Asogba, the suspect’s offence breached Section 278 (1) of the Lagos Criminal Law 2011.
However, the suspect denied the offence and pleaded not guilty to charges preferred against them.
After listening to the prosecutor and the defendants, the court admitted the latter to a bail of N10,000 and one surety each, who must be resident in Lagos.
The case was adjourned till 31 October, 2016 for further mention.
