The Nigerian Football Federation has resolved to hike the cost of tickets to the Super Eagles’ Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria next month. The decision was reached with the Akwa Ibom State Government to curb crowd troubles similar to the one experienced at the team’s match against Egypt in Kaduna.
The NFF has expressed fears the stadium could be crowded because it had been filled to its capacity when the team had a clash with Tanzania last month.
The Super Eagles will play Algeria at the Uyo Stadium in November. The Eagles already top the group after a 2-1 defeat of Zambia in Ndola with Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho scoring the goals.
