A group of senators paid a courtesy visit to some Peoples Democratic Party chieftains in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja on Tuesday.
The senators, who visited the commission around 8pm, assured the PDP chieftains of their support.
The visiting senators comprises of as Isah Hamma from Bauchi Central, Ali Wakili from Bauchi South, Ali Ndume from Borno South, and Philips Aduda from the Federal Capital Territory. Teslim Folarin, a former Oyo State senator, was also among the visitors.
Some of the PDP chieftains currently in the custody of the EFCC are: ex minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, ex presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati and ex minister of state for defence, Musiliu Obanikoro.
They are under investigation for allegedly receiving various sums of money from the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
