AWCON: Super Falcons Tear Kenya Apart

By Adebayo Williams

Super Falcons defeated their Kenyan counterparts by 4-1 on Saturday to finish top of Group B. The Florence Omagbemi-led team will play South Africa in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Asisat Oshoala continued her phenomenal form to seal top spot for Super Falcons in Group B, while Ghana’s 3-1 win over Mali in Yaoundé meant they progressed as runners-up. After playing a disappointing 1-1 draw against Ghana, Florence Omagbemi’s side were in blazing form as they eased past the debutants  – thanks to goals from Ngozi Okobi, Faith Ikidi, Oshoala and Desire Oparanozie.
