Badeh Forfeits Multi-Million Properties To FG

By Bola Kougbe

Alex Badeh, former Chief of Defence Staff, is reported to have forfeited $1million and properties worth N1billion to the Federal Government.

Badeh once denied ownership of the house and the alleged $1 million found in it, a reason for its takeover by the federal government.

The said mansion and money are being used as evidence in Badeh’s criminal prosecution by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for theft and money laundering. The former air chief marshal has been accused of diverting billions of naira meant for the purchase of arms for counter-Boko Haram military operations in the North-East.
