Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale’s goal has been named the matchday four’s UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week ahead of Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil’s goal. Bale scored the fastest goal in the history of the competition after lashing a shot home following a headed flick by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 57th second. His goal was adjudged the best among Ozil’s late winner for the Gunners, Antoine Griezmann’s clipped volley over Rostov’s Soslan Dzhanaev, PSG’s Thomas Meunier’s hit against Basel and Legia’s Vadis Odjidja’s strike against Real.
The award was presented by Nissan.
