Beyoncé Denies Plan To Contest Political Office

By Bright Bassey

American hip hop singer Beyoncé Knowles has debunked rumours she plans to contest Los Angeles Mayor in 2018. A report emerged last weekend over Beyonce’s purported plan.

According to the MediaTakeOut, “Beyonce has ALREADY hired political consultants and is taking preliminary steps to run as early as 2018.”

The site insisted that “this is not a rumor” alleging it confirmed the story from an insider close to Beyoncé.

The alleged tipster claimed, “Los Angeles current mayor Eric Garcetti is running for governor or senator in 2018. If he wins, there will be a special election for Los Angels’ mayoralty. Beyonce is going to run then.”

The site also claimed the mother of one “already established the residency requirements to begin running, and as you can imagine, she already has SUPERSTAR SUPPORT. If she runs, as expected, it will be the most watched ELECTION CAMPAIGN ever for a mayoralty.”

It even speculated that Beyoncé would run for president in 2020.

Beyoncé’s representative talking to Gossip Cop however, debunked the reports, referring to the story as ridiculous.
