Nigeria’s U-20 team will depart Nigeria for Papua, New Guinea on Sunday for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The team, led by Peter Dedevbo, will face Japan in their opening match on 13 November.
Peter Dedevbo’s ladies, who have been camping in Abuja since 27 October concluded their preparations with a 1-0 defeat to the Super Falcons – their first clash with a women side. Upon their departure from Abuja, the Nigeria delegation of 21 players and officials are expected to arrive in Port Moresby on Tuesday, November 8. Coach Dedevbo will announce his squad for the three-week championship on Saturday.
