The curtains were drawn on GOtv Customer Fair on Saturday at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos. The event, a part of the fifth anniversary celebrations of the pay-TV service provider’s operations in Nigeria, attracted a capacity crowd to the venue.
Among top acts at the event were GOtv Brand Ambassadors, Daddy Showkey and Mr. Ibu. Also in attendance were comedienne, Helen Paul, and funny men Aki and Pawpaw, who entertained GOtv subscribers, dealers, sales agents and fun lovers.
The fair started out with comedy from Helen Paul and MC Acapella, who gave out gifts to fun lovers. Music was supplied by DJ Kentalky, who kept heads bobbing and feet shuffling as attendees danced.
He was supported by local musical acts and dancers. Aki and Pawpaw re-enacted their screen roles, as they identified with kids, inviting them on stage to share their GOtv experience. They also rewarded children that performed well.
The hall erupted in jubilation when Daddy Showkey mounted the stage to render his popular songs, which left the audience in raptures. There was a dancing competition and the handing out of gifts to lucky winners.
Next up was Mr. Ibu, who also did not disappoint. Music star, Oritsefemi, provided the icing on the entertainment cake, as the crowd revelled.
It was not just about fun. Subscribers who had difficulties with their hardware or service were attended to by the GOtv Clinic set up at the venue for that purpose.
The customer fair had taken place in Port Harcourt, Enugu, Ibadan, Abuja.
