Gunmen have reportedly killed four Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps guarding a facility in Port Harcourt. The facility is operated by the Nigerian subsidiary of Italian group, Eni.
Security officials, Wednesday, said the corps members were shot dead by men disguised as military officers on Monday, at Omoku installation, near the oil hub of Rivers State capital.
Michael Oguntuase, the state NSCDC spokesperson, said the officers had engaged in a gun battle with the hoodlums when they discovered the invaders were about to launch an attack.
Also, it was reported that an unspecified number of NSCDC personnel were wounded.
