Nollywood actor and lawyer, Kenneth Okonkwo has denied his involvement in Biafran leader, Nnamdi Kanu’s Case.

Okonkwo posted on social media to clarify the assumptions that he was part of the defense counsels for the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, boss. He was reportedly seen in court, Tuesday, amidst Kanu’s lawyers.

The actor stated that his appearance in court was because he had personal matters in the same court the Biafran boss was arraigned.

“My attention has been drawn to some write ups insinuating that I am one of the Defense Counsel of Nnamdi Kanu of the IPOB fame. I state categorically that I am not one of the Defense Counsel”, he wrote.

The Nollywood veteran further stated that he believed in the “unity of the country and the Igbos destiny will be served within a Nigeria based on equity and justice”.

“I believe in the peaceful resolution of the Biafran crisis through dialogue. We must recall that Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe opted for one Nigeria because he believed that the arrangement will best suit our itinerant and commercial nature,” Okonkwo noted.
