The Lagos State Government’s Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, DSVRT, and Access Bank Plc will begin a 16-day awareness campaign against sexual violence.
Titiola Vivour-Adeniyi, DSVRT coordinator, in a statement, said the campaign comprises series of events aimed at educating the public on sexual and gender-based violence and steps to overcoming the menace.
Adeniyi said the campaign would also have a workshop, themed ‘Safeguarding The Rights For A Child’, and symposium, tagged ‘It’s On You And I To End Violence Against Women And Children’. She added that students from public and private schools in the Lagos Mainland, Eti- Osa and Apapa axes of the state will be sensitized on sex education, tips on their body parts, and education on grooming by predators.
