Liverpool players Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson will not be punished after it emerged they attended a strip club while on England duty. The players had been involved in the Three Lions’ 2-2 draw with Spain at Wembley before spending two hours at the ‘Four Your Eyes Only’ strip club on 5 November. The players’ act is a breach of the FA’s code of conduct introduced in 2012.
However, the FA are taking a relaxed view towards the latest allegations, meaning the Liverpool stars are expected to dodge formal sanctions. The pair, though, are likely to be reminded of their responsibilities as England internationals.
Captain Wayne Rooney had been photographed while extremely drunk at a night club. The Manchester United forward was also caught serenading guests on a piano as his drunken displays continued.
The FA have now banned players from spending the night away from the team hotel during international duty as a result of last week’s indiscipline.
