Former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has begun plans to ship over 1000 wheelchairs and crutches to 50 Nigerian hospitals. The Shanghain Shenhua forward said the donations will come in two phases, November and December. He said his foundation also had some relief materials to be donated to handicaps.
“Giving out these items is nothing to me because God has blessed me and I have vowed to always give back to the society,” Martins told Goal.
“The first phase of this donation will be done towards November, while the second phase will be in December. Aside these wheelchairs, I am planning to give some relief materials out especially to the handicapped.”
