Nasarawa United fell to a 5-4 penalty shootout loss to gift FC IfeanyiUbah the Federation Cup trophy. The game had ended goalless after striker of both sides were guilty of wasting some begging chances.
At the end of the proceedings, it was Nasarawa’s semi-final hero, Seun Sogbeso, whose kick was saved to end the shootout in the Anambra Warriors’ favour.
Sogbeso had been the player to net the goal which sent Nasarawa to the final. He was however the villain at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Sunday.
The victory is represents the first Federation Cup trophy victory for the team.
