Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has fractured a metatarsal in his right foot ruling him out for about two months. The German midfielder sustained the injury in his team’s victory over Leganes on Sunday. The 26-year-old has been pivotal to the side’s campaign this season playing 90 minutes in 11 fixtures for the Los Blancos this season. The injury has ruled the player out of the match against rivals Atletico Madrid as well as the El Clasico next month, Champions League matches against Borussia Dortmund and Sporting CP.
Kroos will also miss Madrid’s Club World Cup campaign slated to begin on 15 December. The former Bayern Munich man will also miss Germany’s World Cup qualifier match against San Marino on Friday and the friendly with Italy days later.
