Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a five-year extension to his current contract at Spanish giants, Real Madrid.
“The official event for the renewal of Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract will take place tomorrow, Monday 7 November at 1:30pm in the presidential box at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
“The Portuguese forward will extend his contract until 30 June 2021 at the event attended by club president Florentino Pérez and the player himself,” the club said in a statement.
His new salary is believed to be in the region of £365,000-a-week. Ronaldo has won two Champions League titles with the Los Blancos.
Welsh attacker, Gareth Bale also recently signed a six-year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu while midfielders Luka Modric and Toni Kroos followed suit to sign new deals to keep them at the club.
The club is however said to have hit a rock in negotiations with Pepe as the player has said there is no movement in talks. He has hinted at a possible move in January.
