A state-sponsored report on graft involving South African President Jacob Zuma is to be published later on Wednesday, a court ruled. The High Court in Pretoria directed the Public Protector to release the report, after President Zuma withdrew his application to interdict it.
The court also awarded a cost against the president for the withdrawal of his application.
Justice Dunstan Mlambo also asked parties in the suit to file supplemental papers within seven days.
The controversial report concerns an investigation into alleged improper and unethical conduct by Zuma. Also the report contains findings about the president’s relationship with an influential and wealthy family – the Gupta brothers.
