Supreme Court Awards N3 Million Against Jimoh Ibrahim’s Team Lawyer

Supreme Court has awarded N3 million compensation against Beluolisa Nwofor, counsel to Biyi Poroye, factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, in Ondo State. Poroye is the chairman of the splinter PDP group to which Jimoh Ibrahim, a governorship candidate belong.   The court awarded the cost for wrongful joining of the three appeal court justices to the suit. The court also pronounced the action as a blackmail of the justices in the performance of their judicial duties. The Supreme Court also struck out the ten motions of the Poroye group seeking the appeal court to stay action. The striking out of the motions were sequel to Nwofor withdrawing his motions.
