Supreme Court Hears Jegede, Jimoh Ibrahim’s Case Today (Tuesday)

By Ola Adeola

Supreme Court will Tuesday hear the suit involving candidates of the two Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, factions, namely Eyitayo Jegede and Jimoh Ibrahim.

A PDP faction in Ondo, led its chairman Biyi Poroye, had asked the Supreme Court to determine, among other things, the propriety of the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, in constituting a special panel to resolve dispute over who should be the flag-bearer of PDP.

Based on the suit, the Appeal Court, due to deliver a judgment on the right candidate last week, adjourned indefinitely. It is believed the Appeal Court will deliver its judgement as soon as the Supreme Court hears the suit.
