Premier League club Manchester City are prepared to welcome Brazilian starlet Gabriel Jesus to their grounds on Thursday. The 19-year-old Palmeiras forward will be given a tour of the club’s facilities ahead of his January move and meet his teammates on Friday. City signed the player on a five-year deal but was allowed to complete the season with the Brazilian outfit.
The Brazilian club were crowned champions on Sunday and, with the final round of fixtures postponed as a mark of respect to tragic club Chapocoense, Jesus has been jetted into Manchester for the weekend so that he can get to grips with his new surroundings.
Jesus will be at the Etihad Stadium to watch his team take on Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.
The youngster will move to Manchester with his mother in January after celebrating Christmas with his family. She will help him integrate into his new environment.
Jesus has scored five goals in six appearances for the Brazilian national team. He was also a vital member of the team that won gold at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on home soil.
