Sand Eagles Move 10 Places Up In World Ranking

The Super Sand Eagles have moved up ten places in the latest world ranking released by the Beach Soccer World Wide for December 2016. The team, coached by Audu Adamu were ranked 20th in the world thanks to their second place finish at the recently concluded 2016 African Beach Soccer Cup of Nations in Lagos.

The ranking places them third in Africa, behind Senegal and Egypt. Morocco and Madagascar complete the best five on the continent.

In the world, Portugal ended up as 2016 world best team ahead of Russia, Brazil, Italy, Iran, Switzerland, Tahiti, Japan, Paraguay and Spain.
