Police in Lagos have arrested one Soji Gboye, who has been pretending to be a journalist.
Gboye, 36, was apprehended by officials of the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit in the Maryland area of the state, along with 67 hoodlums.
The police claimed Gboye confessed he had falsely been parading himself as a journalist.
He is to be investigated by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, a report said.
“The man said he was a journalist with Television Continental. He could not properly identify himself when interrogated by the chairman of the agency.
“He confessed that he never worked with TVC, adding that he only pretended to be a journalist when he had issues with uniformed men”, said Taofik Adebayo, spokesman for the task Force.
