England Recalls Sunderland’s Defoe

Sunderland forward Jermain Defoe has been handed a recall to the Three Lions’ squad to face Germany and Lithuania. The former Tottenham man had been missing for England since 2013.

The 34-year-old has been in impressive form this season bagging 14 goals in 27 games.

Defoe made his debut for the Three Lions in March 2004 versus Sweden and has 19 goals at international level.
