Import Duties: Senate Stops Customs From Seizing Vehicles

The Nigerian Senate Tuesday stops the implementation of a policy in which vehicles without import duties payment will be seized by the customs. The decision followed a motion by Balla Na’Allah, deputy majority leader during plenary.

The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, gave one-month grace period for vehicle owners to comply after which the vehicles would be seized.
