Emmanuel Ogah, a medical doctor arrested for stabbing his mother to death in Ogun state, has told police interrogators the deceased had a habit of “insulting and disgracing” him. Police said they were alerted to a call by one Cletus Ogah, the assailant’s elder brother, that the medical doctor had killed the 62-year-old woman at their No. 16 Ololade Street Lafenwa, Itele-Ota residence.
Lukman Raheem, divisional police officer in the area, reportedly led detectives to arrest Emmanuel. Police said the remains of the woman, a food vendor, had been deposited at a mortuary in Ota General Hospital for an autopsy, while the suspect (Emmanuel) will be investigated by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for homicide.
