Police Say 3 ‘Soldiers’ Arrested For Armed Robbery

The police in Ogun state, Southwest Nigeria, said they have arrested three people pretending to be soldiers for armed robbery offences. They are Joseph David, Adebayo Olanrewaju and Anmo Gilbert. The suspects were arrested in Alagbado, Ifo Local Government Area, following a complaint by Paul Oniyo, a lawyer, and Chima Solomon. Both claimed the suspects assaulted them.

The three alleged fake soldiers, alongside other suspects, were paraded Friday at the state police command. Offences committed by the other suspects included cultism, the police said.
